I love the writing, but I'd have to disagree with you. I'm pretty sure that America and Canada as they are in Hetalia only appeared when Europeans arrived. The people who crossed over from Russia and their descendents had their own national personifications. But that's mainly opinion, and Hetalia leaves a lot to speculation.
