Yeaah.  That worked right up until CarrieC offered up something along the line of Russia and Australia having manly man sex on a mountain side, in the middle of a desert, after wrestling crocs and bears.  And thus, this idea was born.

Summary:  The story of how Matthew got over his goove and got his men.
Notes:  Here it is folks, in it's full and final glory.  Let me thank both the people who beta'd this for me – [livejournal.com profile] doomy_slasher and [livejournal.com profile] hotbabysitter. Both of you are AMAZING, patient beyond belief and yeah.  Awesome is not enough.  If you ever need a Beta, ask one of these two.  If they can put up with my love of switching tenses mid-paragraph, babbling notes, desperate late night pleas for help in not going crazy and manage to get this whole thing out of me, then they can do anything.  Plus they rock in their own rights.

Also, thanks for sticking with me on this ride.  It's amazing when I look back at how different my writing was when I started this and how far it's become.  I had fun writing this AU, and working with two characters I wouldn't normally have picked.   I hope I didn't offend anyone with my characterizations, or how I portrayed Prussia and France's (and to a lesser extent, Canada's) evolving relations and various issues.  This is the first time I really had to portray a relationship that had gone abusive in the way that Prussia and France's did, and the aftermath of that relationship.  I know I have said this before, but rape is not a something to be taken lightly, and I dearly hope I did not offend anyone who has gone through the trauma and heartbreak of that experience.  

Feel free to write in this Universe if you want; I have going posted the almost complete notes I've written up for this AU including the backgrounds of various houses, character developments and relationships.  

I  ask only that if you do write in this crazy universe, you give props to the three people who inspired the universe it takes place in, and from whom I borrowed many elements of my own creation – Keira Marcos, The Tenth Muse and Xanthe.   

Lastly, I have to thank the Hetalia Kink Meme.  Without the HKM I wouldn't have started writing – and most definitely never have written over 160,000 words on one fill!  This universe started with Carnations, took shape with Rosa and finally, ends with Lilies, Leaves and Weeds.

Summary: Federation of United Planetary Nations is the order of things now.  After a bitter twenty year war - the War of Re-Conciliation - the Federation has defeated the opposing  factions, made up mostly of various systems and planets along the outer system clusters.   After the outer system cluster alliance had been roundly defeated at the Battle of Brussia, and one of the last Brain Stations wiped out, the Alliance had sued for Peace.  Nearly every Planet signed the treaty within a year of the Battle.  Only the Rus-1 System Cluster has yet to sign the treaty binding every planet, system cluster and station to one united entity.

Two years into the fragile peace, Captain Arthur Kirkland of the FUPNS E3BH receives order to report to the FUPNS Iso B3 Station in the EU-2 Cluster System for further orders and mission details.  He is unaware of why - and suspicious of the possible reasons.   He knows only that he and his crew, nearly all of them former pirates, rebels, and other undesirables, are highly unlikely to receive orders favorable to gaining glory, fame or money.  What he is about to find out is the fates have a way of laughing at humanity's best laid plans - and the hidden secrets of the Federation of the United Planetary Nations are about to come to light. 

Arthur Kirkland has a chance to save not just himself, his crew and his ship, but the whole galaxy- that is if he doesn't kill Alfred F Jones first

Notes: You have been warned.  Also.  It is somewhat important to remember that the Taiga is another word for a Boreal Forest, which are the arctic forests, or really any of the sub-arctic forests.  Generally speaking Russia (thanks to Siberia) has the world's largest area of Taiga, followed by Canada and America.  Thirdly, there will be a human version of this. Why I have been so fond of torturing America and Canada I have no idea.
